Maintenance Technician/General Mechanic

You perform a highly diverse role installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining property facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for guests.

Function:

Repair and maintain all machinery and equipment. Perform preventive maintenance as requested by the Engineering Department.

· Consistently provide professional, engaging and friendly service.

· Maintain all lighting throughout the hotel.

· Painting all areas of the hotel, including priming and sanding all associated work.

· Maintain all HVAC installations.

· Keep all engine, belts, bearings, etc. intact.

· Keep all tools and equipment in the workshop.

· Assist firefighters in the maintenance of machinery and safety equipment, all mechanical equipment such as emergency pumps and diesel engines.

· Carry out preventive maintenance scheduled by the Engineering Commission.

· Perform all necessary welds as required.

· Carry out all service orders related to the hotel

· Assist other companies as needed.

· Visit designated areas.

• Install and remove the microphone as needed.

· Answer all calls and make repairs, if it is not possible to carry out repairs, the problem must be reported to the supervisor.

· All calls must be logged.

· Perform chemical tests on boilers, chillers, swimming pools, etc.

· Operate the BMS computer system.

· Be part of the fire brigade and also be on standby in case of emergency.

· Perform preventive maintenance according to the Engineering Board schedule

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

These responsibilities may not be comprehensive and other responsibilities may be assigned.

Assist in the maintenance of material handling equipment and other industrial equipment to learn safe work habits and gain knowledge about machine repair, calibration and adjustment.

Perform simple repairs and preventative maintenance under the supervision of a chief mechanic.

The cleaned machine is ready to go to the shop for an evaluation or repair.

Support other technicians in checking and diagnosing equipment problems.

Minimum qualifications:

Teaching diploma average or equivalent.

Experience from zero to one (0 to 1) years in the area or related areas.

Knowledge of equipment maintenance.

Oral and written communication skills.

Attention to the details.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

A valid driver’s license.

Mechanic – Carpenter

The Mechanic is responsible for providing quick and efficient responses to work assigned by supervisors or work orders and ensuring that the work is intact and that the physical state of the building is safe and in good repair; ensure that all building certificates and permits are properly displayed and up to date; Executive Assistant All mechanic and trainee mechanic functions.

Responsibility

The mechanic must be proficient in performing all phases of repair and maintenance and must demonstrate the necessary knowledge and safe use of equipment and tools;

Mechanics will be able to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams accurately;

independently handle complex building systems involving multidisciplinary skills without supervision;

A current home phone number must be provided;

You may be required to respond to any emergency 24 hours a day under your collective bargaining agreement and may be required to work overtime;

Possess basic knowledge and skills in all areas with proficiency in preventive maintenance and at least two of the following skills (electrical, plumbing, carpentry);

Assist in maintenance planning;

Perform regular inspections of individual rooms and common areas to report maintenance needs;

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily tasks and follow the work order process;

Effectively perform the functions necessary for the operation and computerization of the management system;

Recommend products and equipment for use in designated jobs, as requested by supervisors;

Participate in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs and in the development and application of quality and productivity standards for the facilities;

Maintain records to ensure daily compliance with all applicable codes and regulations;

Order supplies in accordance with established procedures;

Assist in evaluating new equipment purchases;

Calculate the quantities of materials needed and order all supplies;

Performs all relevant assigned roles.

Qualification minimum

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required;

satisfactorily pass the applicable test;

Three years of experience in an industry and/or technical discipline, or satisfactory completion of a university-approved training program, or successful completion of a university mechanic training program.
