General instructions:
Theatrical Production Technical Assistant for the San Francisco Jewish Community Center Arts and Creative Season, Departmental Internal Programs, and Private Events, as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Assist the master electrician as needed
Assist in the integration of light weaves into performance spaces
Suspension and spotlights
Operate and work safely with Genie elevators and ladders
Programming and operating ETC Gio lighting consoles
Maintain, repair and troubleshoot lighting equipment
Assist audio engineer as needed
Assist in the integration of audio systems into performance spaces
Configure microphones, monitors, speakers, and playback systems
Operate an analog audio console to use basic microphone and playback functions
Audiovisual technical support for departmental and private JCCSF events
Run technical production details of the day for advanced events via PM and APM
Configure, test, operate and create multimedia for JCCSF programs and rentals in accordance with JCCSF production standards
Interact with facilities, rent, security, IT and other relevant departments
Report any incidents, equipment issues, and facility issues to the PM
Ensure all procedures comply with JCCSF life safety and security protocols
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Stage Hand/Loader – Performs basic tasks like loading trucks, pulling curtains, basic props and logistics
Stage management – organizing talent, making suggestions, interacting with artists
Demand:
Three to five years of professional performance lighting experience
Audio system basics

Job Responsibilities:
Cabling of public, commercial and industrial buildings; installation and repair of all existing equipment; necessary workshop work and preparation
Diagnose faulty electrical systems, appliances to find out the cause of failure and correct the problem.
Warns you immediately if the continuous operation of electrical equipment poses a danger to the installation.
Prepare and review drawings or follow blueprints to locate wiring and equipment and ensure compliance with building and safety codes

Responsibilities:
Perform standard repairs and assist with receiving, adjusting and installing new plant equipment using a variety of hand and shop power tools as needed
Assist in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and similar problems and taking appropriate corrective actions
Read and interpret schematics and diagrams
Assistance with major repairs and/or construction required for facilities and equipment, primarily of an electrical nature
Perform preventive electrical repairs on cables and motors and assist in replacing equipment parts for preventive maintenance
Run conduit and pull wires to connect old and new equipment; assist in the replacement of starters, relays, switches and fuses in distribution boards; help replace primary and secondary disconnects as needed
Perform advanced electrician tasks including, but not limited to, inspecting heater blocks at starters, checking control wiring for open circuits, using ohms to ohmmeters on heaters, using wiring diagrams to determine control wiring, and inspecting /remove single-phase three-phase system.
Configure Metal Detector
Attend and successfully complete management-designated training designed to enhance job-related business skills
Train maintenance personnel to keep all equipment in good condition and maintain it regularly
Work safely with a sense of urgency while maintaining a safe and orderly work area
Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be used; including but not limited to protective hat, goggles/goggles, ear plugs, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes or rubber boots
